Pompt by Jane Aguiar
Write a poem of three stanzas
inspired by the phrase ‘A Wilted Flower’;
Rhyming: Optional
.
A Wilted Flower
.
She danced,
the little girl,
with braids
dancing even higher
brighter, wider
then she abruptly stopped
and respectfully bowed
for a small daisy
carefuy picked it
for her gram
her caress
embracing
the pure white petals
with sweetness
Years later
she entered the abandoned
sleepingroom
and found the wilted flower
Gram kept her love
to be found again
when she was long gone.
